3D Modeling and Stress analyses form two important competences within BS’s Piping department

3D Modeling

3D Modeling of process facilities and structures is a key element in BS’s engineering package. It allows the integration of all relevant engineering discipline designs into one single 3D model, allowing control to be maintained during the design chain and adhering to regulatory, industry, company or even project specific standards more easily with less manpower effort with and with increased design efficiency.

With 3D Modeling we ensure:

  • Clash-free design
  • Highly safe design both during operation and maintenance
  • To provide safe and easy access to plant and/or components
  • Design considerations to achieve a low level of maintenance
  • Automatic generation of drawings and diagrams

Stress Analysis

Piping stress analysis is performed to verify the integrity and flexibility of the piping system. Our stress analysis, takes in to account various loads such as sustained, operational & occasional loads etc. Using Software such as Caeser II, Auto pipe & FEMAP BS stress we identify type and loads at supporting point so that simple and economical pipe supports can be designed & constructed; and piping materials and section properties commensurate with the intended service, temperatures, pressures, and anticipated loadings are chosen.

Since the layout of the piping system are performed keeping in mind the requirements of piping stress and pipe supports, the stress analysis play an important role in economics, safety and integrity of the design.
